Bordering Jerusalem, Abu Dis is situated on an ancient site, surrounded by deep valleys. Ruins of ancient buildings, cisterns, grape presses and caves with one columbarium, have been found in Abu Dis, including ceramics from the Late Roman and Byzantine period.
